Troubleshooting

What to try when a page will not load, a score is stuck, or something looks wrong.

A page will not load.

Check the connection and reload. If it keeps happening, close the tab or app and open it again. Progress is saved as each step is completed, so a reload does not lose completed work.

A score has been processing for a long time.

Long pieces can take a few minutes. If it has not finished after that, use retry on the piece. The original PDF usually processes faster and more accurately than photographs.

The metronome is silent.

Check the device volume and any connected headphones. On iPhone the metronome plays even with the mute switch on, so the volume buttons are the usual answer. If another app has taken the audio session, start the metronome again.

My progress is not showing on another device.

Check that both devices are signed in to the same account, then reload. A step completed offline waits until the device reconnects. If the record still looks wrong, write to help@quaverley.com with the piece and the step.

The app highlights the wrong bars.

Open the piece and edit its sections, where the boundaries can be moved. If a bar number is wrong throughout the piece, report it with a photograph of the page, because that usually means a barline was misread.

Something is broken. How do I report it?

Write to help@quaverley.com with what you were doing, what happened, and the device and browser or app version. Bug reports are read before anything else.

Does it work offline?

Quaverley needs a connection. Scores and plans live on the server, and the app does not practise offline yet.

Still stuck? Write to help@quaverley.com.
